Strategic Outcomes of ACSOT’s 2025–2027 Strategy

The Alliance of Civil Society Organizations of Tigray (ACSOT) envisions a vibrant civil society ecosystem where member organizations work collaboratively, transparently, and effectively to drive sustainable change in the region. These strategic outcomes represent our shared progress toward accountability, inclusion, and lasting impact.

  • 🏛️ Member CSOs implement formalized internal systems — including governance, M&E, and HR frameworks — that enhance accountability, adaptability, and program quality.

  • ⚖️ At least 70% of CSOs integrate rights-based, gender-responsive, and conflict-sensitive approaches into their programming.

  • 🎓 ACSOT’s training and support services are accessed by a growing number of CSOs, with external partners recognizing it as a regional hub for institutional strengthening.

  • 🗳️ ACSOT and its members are recognized as credible civic actors contributing to at least three major policy reforms related to justice, governance, or civic space.

  • 🗣️ Citizen participation in public discourse and policy processes increases significantly, with growing engagement in CSO-led platforms for dialogue, consultation, and advocacy.

  • 📺 Public narratives across media and community spaces reflect more inclusive, evidence-based messages that center victim voices, reduce misinformation, and support peaceful transition.

  • 🤝 Functional thematic clusters are active and institutionalized, fostering consistent collaboration and unified advocacy across ACSOT member organizations.

  • 🌍 ACSOT coordinates a cohesive civil society movement with strengthened influence on regional development, civic space protection, and transitional justice.

  • 🔗 Multi-stakeholder partnerships expand the visibility, legitimacy, and technical capacity of ACSOT and the wider civil society sector.

  • 💰 ACSOT and member CSOs secure a larger share of unrestricted and locally sourced funding, reducing reliance on short-term external aid.

  • 💼 Income-generating ventures contribute to core cost recovery for at least 20 member organizations.

  • 📈 Financial literacy, grant readiness, and donor confidence across the network are measurably improved, leading to greater strategic autonomy and program continuity.
